's funny how often seek remote and exotic destinations to spend the holidays.
The attractive sites' close to home are forgotten or in my case " almost never" visit.
I have read and heard about it (for years) in the region of Friesland (in Dutch Friesland ) we finally decided to explore this corner of Holland.
Located in north-west of the Netherlands, is located only two hour of drive from the south.
This region 'sparsely populated, agriculture and' remained one of the sources of livelihood, along with fishing and fish processing. In the lovely town of Hurk typical houses found fishermen to take cover from the sun like a local hang curtains on the window.
